Account

MetaCentrum is a grid infrastructure offered to members, students and employees of the Czech academic and non-commercial research institutions for research or educational purposes free of charge.

How to apply for the first time

  • Registration requires a valid academic affiliation.
  • Other users (foreign colleagues and collaborators without a valid affiliation) must first contact the user support team.
  • Fill out the short registration form and follow the instructions.
  • The status of applications can be checked here.
  • New applications are manually approved within a few working days.

Password change/reset

Users can change or reset their MetaCentrum password in their user profile. Go to the Authentication section, then select Change password and change or reset the einfra password.

Account prolongation

User accounts expire annually on February 2nd. Users are notified via email by the end of December/beginning of January to request account renewal and fill out a short summary.

If the account is not renewed by February 2nd, it will expire and become hidden. However, the data and login details will still exist and can be reactivated by submitting a renewal application. After a three-year grace period, expired accounts are deleted permanently without notification, along with all associated data.

Expired accounts can be renewed at any time during the year here.
